Surah 101 - The Calamity (Al-Qari'ah)

ٱلْقَارِعَةُ

The Striking Disaster

— Transliteration

2

مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ

What is the Striking Disaster?

— Transliteration

3

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ

And what will make you realize what the Striking Disaster is?

— Transliteration

4

يَوْمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ كَٱلْفَرَاشِ ٱلْمَبْثُوثِ

It is the Day people will be like scattered moths،

— Transliteration

5

وَتَكُونُ ٱلْجِبَالُ كَٱلْعِهْنِ ٱلْمَنفُوشِ

and the mountains will be like carded wool

— Transliteration

6

فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ

So as for those whose scale is heavy with good deeds،

— Transliteration

7

فَهُوَ فِى عِيشَةٍۢ رَّاضِيَةٍۢ

they will be in a life of bliss

— Transliteration

8

وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ

And as for those whose scale is light،

— Transliteration

9

فَأُمُّهُۥ هَاوِيَةٌۭ

their home will be the abyss

— Transliteration

10

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا هِيَهْ

And what will make you realize what that is?

— Transliteration

11

نَارٌ حَامِيَةٌۢ

It is a scorching Fire

— Transliteration
