Surah 94 - The Relief (Ash-Sharh)

1

أَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ صَدْرَكَ

Have We not uplifted your heart for you O Prophet،

— Transliteration

2

وَوَضَعْنَا عَنكَ وِزْرَكَ

relieved you of the burden

— Transliteration

3

ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنقَضَ ظَهْرَكَ

which weighed so heavily on your back،

— Transliteration

4

وَرَفَعْنَا لَكَ ذِكْرَكَ

and elevated your renown for you?

— Transliteration

5

فَإِنَّ مَعَ ٱلْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا

So، surely with hardship comes ease

— Transliteration

6

إِنَّ مَعَ ٱلْعُسْرِ يُسْرًۭا

Surely with that hardship comes more ease

— Transliteration

7

فَإِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَٱنصَبْ

So once you have fulfilled your duty، strive in devotion،

— Transliteration

8

وَإِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَٱرْغَب

turning to your Lord alone with hope

— Transliteration
